Axcess has valued good eye protection equipment for many years. Eye injuries can be very serious to the point where you may not be able to work again for the rest of your life. Since eye protection is so important, SafetyEd has put together a list of pointers that you should always keep in mind when it comes to eye protection.
- Never use sunglasses in place of safety glasses
- If you require protection from the sun, then wear a pair of safety glasses that have UV and IR protection
- If you work indoors and outdoors, you may need to have two pairs of glasses, a normal pair of safety glasses for indoors and a sun protections pair of safety glasses for outdoors
- Do not you dark safety glasses for welding, cutting or brazing operations unless they are specifically rated to use during those operations
